What is the Marathon-athon, you ask?
The performance marathon is an all-day-all-night fundraiser for our non-profit theatre company. The Hollywood Performance Marathon-athon works much like a swimathon or walkathon or anything like that. Participants get sponsors to support them for a certain dollar amount for every hour they spend at the marathon, as an eager audience member. Sponsors can pledge anything from $1 to $1,000,000 per hour that their Marathon-athoner sits and watches the acts. Alternatively, sponsors can set a flat donation amount. All donations are tax deductible and it's all for the arts!
